41.Should English be declared the official language of the United States?

In my eyes english is already the official language of the united states. It's what language our prersident speaks, our government speaks, our vice president etc. I dont think though that it should be our official language because its not the only language spoken in the United States. But at the same time if you travel around the world you will notice that there is mainly one language that is overall spoken in each country for instance if you go to Japan the official language is Japanese, or China its chinese, America its english, Arabic its arabian. There are so many different types of languages spoken in the U.S.A so I don't think that we can only single out one language, but if that were to happen clearly english would be the first priority.

48.Should bartenders be held responsible for the behavior of their patrons?

I don't think that its the bartenders fault at all, the behavior of the patrons has nothing to do with the bartender. The bartender has one job and thats to disperse the drinks to the customers depending on what they ordered. I've seen plenty of times in a bar, if a person is either drinking to fast or drinking to much the bartender will no longer serve them. As far as being held responsible I don't think so at all. If a persons drinking becomes to much of a problem inside of one bar the owner usually kicks that person out. I think that places should have a minimum on the amount of drinks given to a certain individual.

44.Should surrogate motherhood be either banned or regulated be law?

I don't think that surrogate motherhood should be banned at all, but i do think it needs some type of regulation or rules. I seen it happen where a surrogate got paid for carrying the baby, but the surrogate ended up getting to attached to the child and didn't want to give it up. It was totally un fair, the paying mother waited ten whole months for her baby only to be disappointed at the outcome. The reason why I think that they should NOT banned it is because there are alot of mothers out there you don't even want their children. Why not give a child to a person who will care and nuture the child. Some woman can't have children due to many different reasonings, and I think that those women too deserve to be mother (even though biologically it not their child).

3.Should newspaper reporters be required to reveal their sources?

Yes, I do think that newspaper reporters should reveal their sources because of the fact that we don't know how reliable their sources actually are. How do we know that the newspaper reporter is not just making stories up, i mean seriously how accurate is their sources?

22.Should sex and violence on television or in the movies be restricted?

Sex and violence is every where in todays society if you think about it. Even the things that have nothing to do with sex or violence has those things in it. For instance cigarette commercials there is often a sexy woman that is promoting the item. It makes you think that people that smoke cigarettes look like that, but in actual reality they could possibly get cancer. I would know because i'm a smoker in the process of quitting. I don't think that they should be restricted because its all about what parents let their children watch, its even in animated shows such as family guy, american dad, the simpsons, south park and my all time favorite the boondocks. I just think that parents should watch what their child is actually watching, Also thats where the ratings come in such as rated R, or Rated pg-13. It probably wouldn't make a difference in people today because they have already been exposed to a world like this..

12.Should homosexuals be permitted to serve in the armed forces?

Yes absolutely they should be permitted to serve in the army. I can't believe this is even a question, that is such a discrimination. As long as they have the physical abilities and the strength to complete all the training and requirements i don't see nothing wrong with homosexuals acting in the armed forces. Thats complete judging somebody which is not fair and it is also illegal people can get suied by discriminating against a person just because of their sexual preference.

Should pornography be restricted by law?

I don't think that pornography should be restricted because I mean people have their own opinions on that particular issue but at the same time certain people like certain things. One person might enjoy to watch pornography and the next person might not like the fact that porn even exist. Thats basically violating a persons rights in a way because how can you take away something that somebody likes just because the next person doesn't like it. There might be a married couple out there that uses pornography to become sexually stimulated you never know, plus porn is some peoples career it's the only way they know how to or can make money.

The Man with the golden voice!!

In this story i'm sure it touched alot of people. Personally i think that it touched me because going from rags to riches so quick has got to be a dramatic change for him and his mother also. You never know what to expect as the days go by seriously this man did not wake up that mornig expecting to get a surprise of a lifetime. reunited with your mother its so touching. I love this story at first it was all ove the news and access granted and stuff and i was like ok this man has a great voice o well then i actually watched it and it sweetened my heart!!

That story was very touching to me. I gues that goes back to being the unexpected i bet he did not expect that to happen to you. Thats why i always say be prepared for the unexpected!!
